Comments: Our activities today were centered around getting to know one another. The children worked on puzzles and colored, and auntie told a wonderful story about "Punyakoti" and how important it is to always tell the truth. Afterwards, we all gathered in the auditorium for aarthi and the pledge.
Parents: Please note that Sections 1 and 2 were combined for today only. Starting next week, we will break into two sections to begin our year's curriculum. The sevikas will let you know which section your child is in. (Both classes are right next to each other.) Classroom numbers will be posted in the front entrance of the school.
Following are a few suggestions we have to help your child's experience in class be less stressful:
• It is extremely important that your child use the restroom before class. Please allow a few extra minutes in the morning to do this. This activity, alone, makes all the difference in the world!
• Also, please have your child bring their backpack to every class. There will be times we send home notes, projects, etc, and a backpack will make it easier for your child to transport their work. It will be important for you to check their bag after each class.

It was great spending this morning with your child – and we look forward to spending a great year together!
