Comments: Today was both a sad and joyful day for the aunties. We are sad that our Balavihar year has come to end. And we are very happy to have spent so many Sunday mornings with your children. What a great gift it has been for us to learn from our young friends as we journeyed through our Vedantic Alphabet Safari together. We hope that your kids have had as much fun as we have!
Well parents, all of our play preparation and practice is now coming to an end. At this point, whatever we have under our belt is what we're going to get on stage :-) It sure has been a lot of work — but we are certain that you will agree that it was all worth it next Sunday. Honestly, we really can't thank you enough for all of your support and encouragement as we worked our way through rehearsals and prop making.
Please remember to dress your child in dark clothes (either black or navy blue) for the performance next Sunday. Our guess is that even though the air conditioner will be on — the stage is going to be hot from the lights. So, lightweight clothing is suggested. Shorts and short sleeve t-shirts are absolutely okay. Also, if you want to change your child into traditional dress after the performance, don't forget to bring their clothes. We will have plenty of green room space for you to use.
We can't thank the Geeta Chanting Competition Committee enough for the fabulous ice cream party they gave us today. It was a welcomed treat on so many levels!! The ice cream was delicious — and it helped cool us down while we worked in our hot and stuffy space.
Well kids, this is it —rest up. We're going to have a big day next Sunday. In the meantime, we hope that you have a great week. We'll keep our fingers crossed that the rain doesn't take over too many of the days, so we can be outside riding bikes, swimming, or just plain ol' romping around.
We sure are going to miss you guys this summer ...
Make sure that you keep on practicing all of your prayers, likhita japa, and quiet time. In fact, why not try the focus game on mom or dad and see if you can trick them :-)
And don't forget, we want to hear a super big "Hari OM" when we see you in the hallway — followed up by a "high five" of course ...
Lots of hugs to you all!
